Summary
Under the direction of the EVP of Sales, the Rep Manager is responsible for enhancing independent sales representative's effectiveness with sales and productivity. This encompasses the analysis and support of pricing, lead-times, and customer management. This role will interface our internal sales and operations teams as well as external dealers, reps and end-user customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build, develop and maintain current and cultivate new relationships with independent sales representatives
- Lead, coach and mentor independent sales representatives to achieve sales targets
- Develop a deep understanding of product offerings to effectively communicate value propositions to customers
- Reports sales activities and data through CRM and reports on KPI activities
- Supports senior sales team by taking lead on projects and following up on assigned tasks
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, including sales volume, revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as needed
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service abilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives
- Supports production and operations through effective communication and pipeline management
- Communicates lead time delivery date expectations and changes
- Works to understand capacity and effectively manages those margins with both the operations team and the customer.
