Lakeside is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and support machine operators in our manufacturing operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting customer requirements and company goals.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

Schedule: 5-day workweek – Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Work Environment: Culture-forward, team-oriented, safety-first, free coffee, nice lunchroom

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise, train, and support machine operators in a manufacturing environment.

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production schedules to meet output, quality, and delivery goals.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements; promote a strong safety culture.

  • Monitor production performance, scrap, and downtime; lead continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure products meet Lakeside quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and materials teams to resolve production issues.

  • Maintain accurate production records, labor tracking, and reports using the Netsuite ERP system.

  • Coach, develop, and evaluate team members through ongoing feedback, training, and performance management.

  • Enforce company policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

  • Support cross-training and workforce flexibility within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2- or 4-year degree preferred (associate or bachelor's in manufacturing, engineering, business, or a related field).

  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing machinery and production processes.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production reports.

  • Experience using ERP systems; Netsuite experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods.

  • Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
