Lakeside Manufacturing is seeking a fast-paced, dynamic part-time Inside Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for the development of call lists, outbound calls, and connecting leads to Sales Reps and Dealers. 

Primary Job Responsibilities

Relationship Building and Lead Processing:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Manufacturing Sales Reps and Dealers, serving as a reliable point of contact.
  • Process and qualify leads, then pass them along to the appropriate factory direct sales team, manufacturing reps and equipment dealers to foster relationships and grow the business.

Lead Generation and List Building:

  • Proactively research and identify potential leads using various sources like online databases & industry directories.
  • Rapidly build and maintain targeted call lists with accurate contact information.
  • Prioritize leads based on predefined criteria to ensure time is spent on the most promising opportunities.

Outbound Calling and Prospecting:

  • Execute a high volume of outbound calls daily to qualify leads and introduce company's products or services.
  • Conduct initial needs assessments to determine if a lead is a good fit for onsite visit from sales member.
  • Overcome objections and rejections with a positive and persistent attitude.

Data Management and CRM Maintenance:

  • Actively listen for and identify valuable market intelligence, such as upcoming projects, competitor activity that a caller may disclose.
  • Update the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system with detailed and accurate notes after every interaction.
  • Track communication history, lead status, and next steps to ensure a seamless sales process.

Key Characteristics:

  • Confident Partner and Team Player: The ideal candidate works confidently as a partner with the outside sales team, manufacturer sales reps, and food service equipment dealers. They understand their role in the sales ecosystem and can confidently process and hand off leads, fostering a collaborative environment to grow the business. Will execute daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly check-ins with key-stakeholders.
  • Focused and Detail-Oriented: The ideal candidate values accuracy but knows how to balance it with speed. They can accurately enter data, maintain call logs, and ensure follow-up tasks are completed without getting bogged down by a need for perfection. The goal is to maximize outreach and connect with as many potential leads as possible in a given timeframe.
  • Intelligent and Resourceful: This person needs to be able to "connect the dots" and pick up on key information a caller discloses that is beneficial intelligence. This means they can understand customer needs, identify pain points, and propose solutions that align with the company's product or service. They should be able to think on their feet, use available resources, and adapt their approach to different situations.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a Sales Support role is great, but we are willing to train the right go-getter.
  • Ability to work independently, with guidance readily available as needed. 
  • Business Students in good standing interested in sales team experience will be considered. 
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week.
