A Heritage of Innovation
In 1947, Lakeside created a stainless steel cart to solve a
problem for a beauty shop. Later that year, we modified it for
a restaurant supply company and it became known as our #311.
Today, the #311 remains our best selling cart.
In the early 1950’s,
a version of this utility cart with a heated top was developed
for home use. The “Hot Top” was later honored by
the New York Museum of Art with a design award for creativity
and innovation. Now as then, innovation remains an integral part
of Lakeside's culture.
Communication
To
best serve our customers, we strive to understand their businesses.
Our marketing team travels extensively, visiting customers to
listen and learn how to improve our programs and products. Our
engineers perform on-site field research to observe people interacting
with our products in order to identify possible improvements.
And our customer service representatives are trained to provide
the highest level of service available in the industry, assisting
customers quickly and capably.
Knowledge & Expertise
Cross-training
and education are mandatory at Lakeside. We make this investment
in our employees because it allows us to offer the best customer
service and product craftsmanship. It's a commitment that pays
off!
Currently, Lakeside employs 26 employees
with 20 to 40 years of tenure – each. These employees work
in all areas of the company including production, planning, engineering,
customer service, marketing and accounting. Thus, our products
are not only backed by the best warranty in the business, but
they are also backed by a company whose employees collectively
represent over 5,000 years of experience.
